BRYNFORD ZONING & PLANNING NEWS

This blog contains information related to Haverford Township Zoning and/or Planning issues related to properties in Brynford.

The Haverford Township Zoning Hearing Board meets the first and third Thursday of every month.  Meeting agendas and meetings can be found on the Zoning Hearing Board's page.  All interested parties are invited to view the live broadcast of the meeting on the Township's Government Access Channel (Verizon channel 38, Comcast channel 5). The meeting will also be available for future viewing on the Township's YouTube channel. For public comment via email, or to register for participation via Zoom, email zoning@havtwp.org.

The Haverford Township Planning Commission meets the second and fourth Thursday of every month.  Meeting agendas can be found on the the Planning Commission's page.

This property is located on the corner of Buck Lane and Haverford Road across Haverford Road from the Phillips 66 gas station.  The property is zoned residential R-6. The owner is seeking a variance to allow an existing, non-conforming retail use to be changed to a restaurant use which is not permitted n the R-6 Zoning District and a variance to allow fewer than the required 10 off-street parking spaces.

Zoning Map Amendment
The subject property has been conveyed, discontinuing the institutional use. The Board of Commissioners request a recommendation to reclassify the zoning district, pursuant to §182-602.E. The property was reclassified from R1-A, Low-Density Residential to INS by petitions of the property owner in 2012. A petition from the current owner has been submitted to for the zoning district to revert to its previous
R1A designation for the use of the property as a single family dwelling.
